Andrew Jackson was considered an important for the fact that advocated for democracy. Jackson called for a mass democratic society for the people of the United States. I would have to say that I think Jackson was not a good president due to many factors. Jackson won the election of 1828 because of the popularity that he had amongst the common folk, specifically the common folk of the South. Jackson used and took up the advantage of sizable public rallies, parades, and barbecues or picnics to further his political position to gain more voters. Jackson and his cabinet realized how easy it was to swindle voters with bribery and other 'treats'.

Jackson was president who was uncompromising and not someone who was tolerant of differences.
