Were The American Colonists Justified In The Revolutionary War

n March 1770 a group of British soldiers guarding a customs building opened fire into a crowd of enraged colonists killing and injuring many. When the colonists arrived at the customs house there was taunting from both ends, and the colonists were said to have thrown things at the soldiers until they eventually fired at them. During this time period as we know the colonies had been oppressed in many ways by the British in forms of acts and taxes placed upon them seemingly unfairly. American colonists as a whole had lots of aggression towards Brittan and often took it out on the soldiers. Many colonists were looking for a way to prove to the non-believing citizens that these soldiers associated with England were indeed there to oppress them.
