Symbolism is used In the novel, The Lord of the Flies as PIggy,Ralph, and Jack play a key role in the novel. Also Piggy,Ralph,and Jack are symbolized in the novel in many ways these are a few examples. In the novel, The Lord of the Flies,written by William Golding. Piggy represents intelligence, Ralph is an example of leadership, and Jack symbolizes chaos and destruction.Piggy plays a key factor because he’s the only one with an above intelligence level out of the rest of the children on the island. Piggy is the only reason that the children had fire(with specs)and also Piggy said that there was no beast “We can use this to call the others. Have a meeting. Piggy is the one that told Ralph had to blow in the couch shell properly and if not for Piggy Ralph would never rally the children on gather island.
Also Piggy had the specs to start the fire which keep the children warm and also give the children hope of being rescued.
