Everyone has an emotional mindset and it’s the most powerful emotion in the mind. Henry then changes the audience mind, He now has sympathy from the audience. For example, if I was in the audience, I would feel that’s its wrong that we have to buy our peace and life and freedom purchased at the price of chains and slavery, I would most definitely agree and be on Patrick side. He has an emotional connection with the audience, and that most definitely gives the audience a 100% chance to agreeing with him.
