Peggy McIntosh once said “ White Privilege is the unquestioned and unearned set of advantages, entitlements benefits and choices bestowed on people solely because they are white. Generally white people who experience such privilege do so without being conscious of it”. White privilege is not only extremely predominant in the labor market, it is also seen in the education and justice system. Thus, concluding that white privilege exists in America.

Affirmative action is a policy favoring those who suffer from discrimination, usually focuses on employment and education. Yet this is not true. Georgetown conducted a study and found that even though Affirmative action exists whites are still represented excessively in prestige colleges in the U.S. “The higher education system is more and more complicit as a passive agent in the systematic reproduction of white racial privilege across generations”(Maxwell, 7 Actual Facts That Prove White Privilege Exists in America). People of color are unequally policed, sentenced to death row, and incarcerated than caucasians. The Center for American Progress states “While people of color make up about 30 percent of the United States population, they account for 60 percent of those imprisoned”(The Top 10 Most Startling Facts about People of Color and Criminal Justice System in the United States). Whites are also less likely to get stopped by the police. Data from the Department of Justice concluded that “Blacks were 127% more like to get frisked and 76% more likely to get searched than whites; Latinos, 43% more likely to get frisked and 16% more likely to get searched”(Tucker , The Ultimate White Privilege Statistics & White Privilege Data Post). These racial distinctions have taken away most civil rights from people of color proving, once again that white privilege still occurs in the Justice
