Every twenty-nine seconds an immigrant comes over to America (U.S. and World Population Clock). Immigrants come to America for many reasons. Many people drop everything and leave their home countries to come to America because they want to have the freedom of making their own decisions. To be an American means that one has many opportunities and privileges that they receive; by taking care of their responsibilities and being involved with everything that is occurring in America, one becomes an American. America consists of many different types of people depending on how they choose to live their life. Anyone can choose what type of government to follow. America is not governed by a supreme leader. They have the right to vote for who leads their country. We are not forced to do something that we do not want to do. Americans do not believe in being punished for our beliefs. Freedom of expression helps people do what they believe in. People are allowed to say and think whatever they wish without the fear of being punished for what they feel is right for them. Government policies in America cannot force us to do anything. Everyone has the freedom to do whatever they want without having to live in fear of what punishment they could receive by thinking or doing what some countries see as a threat. America has many positive aspects, everyone has different opportunities than what they had in the past. Americans have hardly any restrictions in our lives, and most of them are put in order to keep America safe from harm. American means taking ones own responsibilities and dreams, and using them to make America better for himself and others. Not many people risk everything for what they believe in. It takes courage to drop everything to follow an individuals own beliefs. Are all people willing to follow their dreams to become an
