Other than Spain, the other nations that were involved in expanding their empires in the Americas were England, France, and the Dutch.
Some of their purposes for settling in the Americas were England wanted to settle in the Americas because the settlers wanted religious freedom, to possibly convert the natives, and to get and trade fur. England’s hardships were that England’s first attempt failed at sea, the second attempt actually settled in the Americas but got killed by Indians, and the third attempt resettled in the same place and got killed by Indians.
