“The shot heard around the world” had been shot, which meant war. Us Colonists have been training for this battle for 6-12 months. Although we declared our independence from Great Britain, we have not been let free. Great Britain feels as if they still have the rights to govern us. But we want to our freedom. No matter how badly we want to declare freedom, we are no match for the powerful British. They have experienced soldiers, loads of supplies, and we the underdogs have nothing. We hardly have a uniform, and none of us had experience in a war. Our food shortage is not giving us enough energy to fight our full potential. Great Britain is definitely going to win this war. Great Britain has over 50,000 soldiers and 30,000 mercenaries. We only have 20,000 …show more content…

Not only was this another victory against Britain, but the Treaty of Alliance had been signed with France, which promised military support against Great Britain. The last battle of the Revolutionary War was in Yorktown October 1781. We had ran right into Yorktown in with so much power and determination to win. By us surrounding the British leader, he was required to surrender. Him surrendering had marked the end of the Revolutionary This was the last and most important battle of the Revolutionary War. After we won, we decided to make Great Britain sign the Treaty of Paris, which had forced them to recognize America as a free country out of Great Britain’s control. At the end of the war, we had lost over 25,000 people in our colonies, and Britain had lost 10,000 of their people during battle. Although we had won the war, we had used so much money that America, along with Great Britain.
