Torture is wrong and unfair because it harms another person either psychologically or physically. People who are tortured are usually left disabled or unable to do anything. They face unmeasurable pain and mischief which is why the prohibition of torture is an important human right because it protects you from the pain and suffering. For example, during the Holocaust, many Jews and other people were mistreated horribly. They were constantly abused and beaten to no end which is why this right is important. By prohibiting torture we can stop the this unjustified practices of causing harm on innocent people. For example, you can start by putting posters that describes the atrocities with torture and explaining the immorality of it. Furthermore, you can also join clubs like Model U.N. where they discuss world’s problems that is going on today and can also discuss things like the human rights abuses such as torture that is still going on in some parts of the world today. By spreading awareness you can get support from people that agrees with you and work together with other people with similar interest. Another way to better inform people about the misdeeds of torture is by constantly being active within your community. You should gather a small group of people who share the same belief as you and slowly work together to bring awareness around your community through posters, propaganda, and media. As a result, you will gain more and more attention throughout your community and gather more supporters for your cause. In addition to spreading awareness through propaganda and media, you can also volunteer or join organizations that addresses these issues. For example, there are organizations like OMCT( World Organization Against Torture) and TASSC(Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition) deals with issues of torture and talks about the atrocities of torture. They bring attention to the immoral tactics of torture and protest against the practice of torture. In addition, you can also help spread awareness by helping survivors that experienced it and getting a first-hand account of what is was like; then you can spread the word about torture with a first-hand account of someone who has experienced
