Why People Attend College

One of the biggest reasons that I want to attend college is because I want to achieve a higher education. Sometimes just a high school diploma isn't enough to be successful. By going to college, I can have the opportunity to learn things that can influence my future career and help me have a more successful future. As of right now, my future is unclear to me, but going to college will help give me perspective and also a path to the career that I will eventually follow.

I chose communications as my course of study because video editing and photography have always interested me. The ability to tell a story with a single picture or to capture the emotion and feeling of a scene, those are the things that I want to be able to achieve. "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Seeing all the different ways you can make videos come together into one amazing video is something I want to get better at. Try as I might, there are certain things that I can only learn with someone teaching me. YouTube videos and Idiot's Guide To's will only you get you so far in life. People like Clark Little, Ansel Adams, or Robert Capert are people who inspire me and caused me to choose communications. Communications is a course that not only covers photography and videography, it covers so much more. From journalism to public relations communications can be a springboard to multiple career choices. With a proper knowledge of videography, photography, and editing I can work with companies and businesses to promote their business.
