Women used many different methods to earn the right to vote in the Women’s Suffrage Movement. One method they used was a parade. It took place in D.C. They had hundreds of women marched in the parade. While they marched in the parade large crowds who were drinking threw bottles and attacked the girls. The police did nothing to help and 100 people ended up in the hospital. Because of the parade the newspaper supported the women.
The second method the women tried was picketing the white house. Woodrow Wilson did not approve. The women stood there from dawn until dusk holding banners that quoted the president and burning his speeches. Pedestrians became angry and began to attack the girls.
