Many activities and team play participation will give you a training that will prove invaluable later on in life - Walter Annenberg. lAn activity I like to do in school is play for my school's basketball team, the Jaguars. Another activity I like is to participate in is community service. For example I volunteered at an Alzheimer's home called Lakeside Park, which is near my school. Also, I work at a daycare center in Oakland called Small-Trans.

I have been playing basketball since I was in second grade. I won my first Championship in fifth grade and my second in seventh grade. In fifth grade I was playing for a team that was coached by my dad. We used to stay after practice and shoot until they needed to close the gym. For example when I was in seventh grade I worked at an Alzheimer's home called Lakeside. At Lakeside I met a lot of new people. When I was there I got to direct bingo and the crossword puzzle. I enjoyed meeting new people everyday. One person I connected with was Mary. Mary had Dementia. Even though she did not remember me, I still remembered her. She liked to play bingo and I had to make sure she was not cheating. Sometimes we used to go to her room, watch TV, and eat cookies. Her favorite movie was “Finding Nemo.” Another place I do community service is at a daycare center called Small-Trans. At Small-Trans I play with kids from the ages of one to four. One of the kids I play with is Trevor. Trevor is two years old. He likes to sit by the door and wait until he decides that I am safe and lets me come in. Then he likes to jump on me and hug me. He also likes to give me kisses. I stay there just until snack time is over. During snack time I pass out the food. The kids like to try and feed me their food. In summary, I like to volunteer at Small-Trans and Lakeside Park because I feel like I am helping the
