RAND Health conducted a study of Workplace Wellness Programs because over the last couple of decades, in the U.S., there has been a rise in lifestyle illnesses that range from diabetes, heart disease, and chronic pulmonary conditions due to poor physical activity, poor nutrition, tobacco use, and alcohol consumption.
