Have you ever thought about finding a school that is all year round? Yes, year-round education is better for students than a long summer vacation. Year-round schooling would be better for students because the school will provide a more structured environment, students can avoid gaps in learning with shorter breaks, and students will get the same amount of days off but they will be separated.

Schools would provide a more structured environment if students had year-round education. “The safety and dependability that school offers doesn't stop with the onset of summer,”(McGuire, 4). Students wouldn’t forget everything they learned if they did year-round schooling. At the start of the year, teachers wouldn’t have to review what they learned. If …show more content…
“Shorter breaks between school terms mean that students can avoid gaps in learning,”(online.ysu.edu,5). If teachers are required to be on campus all year, students that are struggling can get access to tutoring. It will reduce absences by teachers and students. Year-round schooling will help avoid learning gaps for students.

Students will have the same amount of days off, but they will be spread out into smaller sections. “Many year-round schools simply reorganize the standard 180-day school year,”(Zubrzyck, 6). If schools are year-round, they have the same amount of days in school as a regular school. Frequent breaks are good for teachers and students because they help them burn out early in the year. Having the same amount of days off in school for students would still be the same as a normal school.

Year-round education is not better for students than a long summer vacation. “Spending too much time at the beginning of a school year explaining classroom routines and expectations can feel like a waste of instructional time. However, it gives students a chance to practice soft skills like adapting to new procedures, handling different work styles, and learning new schedules,”(McGuire, 9).
