The story Tangerine takes you on a journey of a boy named Paul’s life. They show his emotions, tells and shows the reader how he feels when he hears he is moving. This story shows the good and the bad. They explain Paul’s emotions and the complicated relationships with his friends and his brother, Erik. You as the reader end up finding out a lot of stuff throughout the story. Next, you find out who Paul’s real friends are. So as you can see this story has many things in it so you will never get bored of reading it.

The only time he might have had something wrong was if someone that he wasn’t friends with came up to him and said something mean and then one of his friends stuck up for him. At Tangerine Middle it was a little bit different than that, most people didn’t really like Paul and he didn’t get accepted by all the other kids so easily. When Paul went to school the first day it turned out a lot worse than he expected it to be, he had no friends, no one really wanted to be his friend either. The only way Paul really got friends was by joining the soccer team and made some friends with the people who were on the team, he ate lunch with them, he hung out with them, and he had people to talk to during school. Erik was holding Paul for about an hour until one of the nurses walked in to tell Erik’s parents that there’s nothing wrong with Paul and that everything is ok, Erik’s parents were relieved to hear that. A couple of days later they went home with Paul and were with him the whole time. Two years later Paul was about two years old and was walking and almost talking, he knew little words like mommy, daddy, ewik, gamma, granpa which he said wrong. As he got older Paul and Erik grew apart, whenever Paul would go up to Erik, Erik would push him away. Erik started to think that his parents liked Paul more than him so he started to do bad stuff.
