The Boston tea party was an attack on three British ships carrying tea. and the attack

was done by the Sons of Liberty on December 16, 1773. They did it to show they won't

buy tea any more if the King was going to put a tax on it. This was done in defiance ot

the tea act of May 10, 1773. They also dumped the tea into the harbor and didn't eat

fish from the harbor for a couple of months because the fish ate the tea.The British

made the colonist suffer for attacking their trade ships; so the colonist had to suffer the

intolerable acts. The British closed the ports to the boston harbor and all trade

routes to boston and starved the citizens and froze them. They also had to house feed

and clean the clothes of British soldiers
