When your child’s head gets hit it rattles more than what the average adult brain does due to the size. The rattle causes the brain to snap back at a quicker rate then it would an adult brain would. Another fact about kids that are the ages of eight to thirteen that play football have what they call white matter in their brain. “Changes to its normal trajectory might have lasting effects on many aspects of brain function, from cognition to personality to behavior”. (Alice 1). When you’re at a young age like that you have problems with your brain that effects your schooling and thinking process. A few previous star players, including Junior Seau, Dave Duerson and Andre Waters, submitted suicide and were later found to have C.T.E. In spite of the fact that those players were all more seasoned than 40, the infection has been found in previous competitors in their 20s. “Baez said Hernandez’s family wanted to donate his brain to the C.T.E. Center at Boston University, which has studied the disease for years. The center, which has an extensive brain bank, has produced much of the leading research on the disease and its link to repeated head trauma.” The Late Aaron Hernandez was a former football player signed with the New England Patriots was doing a life sentence for a murder back in 2013. A few weeks back they found him in his jail cell dead due to him hanging himself. The doctors would like to see if any kind of head trauma was caused during the years he was playing football to see if that had anything dealing with is suicide.
