Introduction to the Flaws of the Canadian Healthcare System
Many people, Canadian or not, believe that the Canadian healthcare system is the one of best health insurance systems in the world to ever exist, but they are very incorrect, Canadians need to face some bad truths about the healthcare system. No, Canada’s healthcare system isn’t the best in the world, which the title for being the best goes to Japan, where Canada stands in the tenth place on the world (Muzyka, Hodgson, Prada, 2012). But Canada does have lots of advantages over many countries, and one of the big ones is the U.S, The U.S is one of the most established counties in the world but Canada still pulls ahead in the healthcare system, for example in Canada, the healthcare system is designed to put the people, not the profit first, while in the United States the healthcare system will do very little to improve and enhance the …show more content…
If this example wasn’t enough then this is the ice breaker, In Canada the coverage of the healthcare system isn’t determined or depended on your income, but is the same healthcare system across Canada for the poor and the rich, while in the United States it is tied to your job’s income, so if a person doesn’t have a job or loses his or her job, they’re basically without a health insurance (Nader, 2014). And the last example of why what distinguishes the Canadian healthcare system from the United States healthcare system, In Canada, the healthcare system is funded by income, sales and corporate taxes, combined, which are much lower than what Americans pay in premiums, while in the United States, under their healthcare system, for many Americans, its pay for the insurance or have no health insurance, if you can’t pay, you will have the risk of dying because the lack or care you will get.
