One of the strengths that CanGo has is that they have thus far been successful in their business venture; however in looking at a weakness, lack of a disciplined work environment, this could eventually lead to disastrous results for the company. There is an opportunity ahead of them that they are pursuing, but lack of planning will limit their success. Without a strategic plan to follow, there is a threat to the company’s future viability. Recommendation: MCG recommends that CanGo to perform a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) Analysis. This analysis will serve as one of the most important steps in formulating the strategy of CanGo. The main purpose of a SWOT is to analyze and discover the distinctive competencies so that CanGo will be able to choose and implement strategies that exploit their unique organizational strengths, neutralize threats and avoid weaknesses to their organization (Griffin). In utilizing CanGo’s mission as a context, management can then assess internal strengths with distinctive competencies as well their internal weaknesses, along with assessing external opportunities and threats to their organization. From this analysis critical issues and strategic alternatives will be identified. These strategies should support the basic mission and objectives of CanGo and should serve as a basis in answering questions regarding the strategies of
