The ad that I chose was for the sale of the new peanut butter and jelly flavored pop tarts. I saw this ad during a televised showing of Despicable Me 2 on the FX channel. The commercial starts with the showing of a cute new born baby peanut butter and jelly pop tart in its cradle. The commercial then shows the two new loving parents, one a jar of peanut butter and the other a jar of jelly, talking about all the characteristics that the child had acquired from each parent. The villain, on the other hand, is quite clearly the nurse. Her menacing smile with the line “It’s time for a feeding” show that she is going to eat this pop tart child and have no remorse about it. The looks on the parents’ faces after she says this line indicate that she did partake in this evil
