I believe that Christopher Columbus did not discover America. I believe this because Norse Viking Leif Eriksson who´s father founded Greenland was most likely to set sail in search of America. The reason Leif Eriksson is not as well know as is because he never set foot on America, but it is believed that he was the first non-indian person to see America. Another reason I believe Columbus was not the first person to find America is because he did not prove that the world was round. The reason this plays a big part in the Columbus myth is because he set out to find if the world was flat or not. This played a major reason in why the Monarchs funded him to set sail.
