Distracted driving is dangerous enough to kill the driver and other people, it can change anyone's life and future in a split second. Because distracted driving is dangerous, it can cause harm and severe consequences. First, distracted driving can be hazardous. The author states, “If you injure or kill someone you can get a fine of up to $10,000 or 10 years in jail,” (Bieber). This is a good example of the severe consequences. Even though all of the above are true, some people still disagree. Some people say that distracted driving isn't dangerous because they can multi-task. However, if you don't pay full attention to the road, you could miss a red light, stop sign, or hit someone. And if you cause a crash or don't stop, you will be punished. You can get a small ticket for missing a stop sign or a red light, a bigger consequence for causing a crash, and a huge consequence for killing or injuring someone.
