Those are just a couple of reasons why you need to be focused while driving. Secondly, distracted driving can cause financial heartbreak. According to crash stats, twenty-nine percent of all crashes are because of distracted driving, resulting in ninety-eight point two billion dollars in economic costs. Distracted driving can cost others their lives and the person who caused the accident a lot of money. According to NHTSA, car accidents cost the U.S. three hundred forty billion dollars in one year. That causes a lot of damage. Distracted driving not only costs lives, but also money. Thirdly, some might say that distracted driving isn't that illegal in some states, so it's fine to do so. This is a fact, he said. However, in most of the states and the District of Columbia, it is illegal. More people have been trying to make this a law in other places.
