In the “Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, there are a few people to accuse for Romeo and Juliet’s death. Many events lead up to their death and has to do with the many people throughout the story. Many would say to blame Friar Lawrence for helping, the two families for not getting along, or Romeo and Juliet for being head over heels for each other. In reality,it’s not just one person in particular to blame, there are many people that had to do with the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Whose to blame? Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and the two families are the ones to blame. There are multiple reasons behind why they’re to blame. To begin with will be the Friar, he had helped Romeo and Juliet continuously through the story. They too, are the ones to blame for the catastrophic deaths. They chose to believe in love at first sight, this decision had costed them things that were important to them. Which leads to the example of Juliet’s father threatening her, “Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch! I tell thee what--get thee to church a Thursday Or never after look me in the face. Speak not, reply not, do not answer me!...”(Shakespeare 444). Not only did love at first sight affect their lives, so did the decisions they made along the way. Romeo and Juliet didn’t think out their decisions through very well for most of the story. In the end, Juliet had a miraculous scheme to fake her death, not ending very well, Romeo and Juliet kill themselves. The example for this is “Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O happy dagger!
