Definitions
Pathos – This method try’s to invoke a sympathy reaction from the audience
Ethos-This method try’s to convince the audience that the speaker or company is creditable, fair and unbiased.
Logos- This method try’s to convince the audience to use logic and reason.

Logos- He used this when he started to talk about all of the positives that the person would get out of signing up with them. He mentioned that they would receive tax free money and would not have any monthly payments. He also empahasized on the free information that is available to people interested. This could appeal as a no brainer because you get all these freebies and you don’t incur any charges. He used ethos by his demeanor in the commercial and the props and layout of the commercial. He appears to be possibly in his 60’s so he is relatable, he flashes symbolism of the U.S directly and indirectly all through the commercial and he is a senator that gives him creditability. He used pathos by talking about people being in financial hardship and he addressed the commercial to individuals and their kids – because he probably understood that older people have their children or younger family members helping them with keeping up with their finances.
