Coming into college I had decided that I wouldn’t continue pursuing my education as an average student. I wanted to excel in all aspects, but especially academic wise. My goal was to get on the President's list, and I did. This academic year my goal is to remain on the president's list, however with a 4.0 GPA. I am looking forward to this year as a fashion major, because now I can learn about the business side, while improving my knowledge and skills on the creative side. All while, being part of the swimming team, designing for Herkimers Fashion show, starting my own women empowerment club. Life is what you make it. I do my best, in anything that I am involved in whether I receive recognition or not. To me , that is the key to an exceptional work ethic. That is why I always go above and beyond. My ultimate goal is to be a high-end fashion designer. But for the next 5 -10 years, I plan on working in the fashion industry experiencing different careers and learning as much as I can of the fashion world. The Fashion Industry is definitely a competitive area, that’s why my educational plans and leadership skills fit into my career goal perfectly. With my high GPA, and potential enrollment in the honors program, I hope to get a scholarship to one of the best 4 year fashion colleges graduating almost debt free, and easily getting a job in the fashion industry after graduating. My work ethic, and leadership skills are definitely not perfect , but I’m at a pretty good place. I plan on remaining in the presidential honors society as a young, motivated and determined female. I have the mindset where I am able to manage my priorities and take initiative in where I want to be in life.
