Romeo and Juliet

What makes Romeo and Juliet so powerful,and heartbreaking is that the audience is aware of the lovers impending death. The love that Romeo and Juliet feel for eachother is so strong that it leads to violence, and chaos.

The love Romeo felt for Rosaline made him depressed, and it lead to him crashing the Capulet’s feast. “Can I go forward when my heart is here? Turn back, dull earth, and find thy center out.” (2.1 5) The importance is that Romeo feels as if his heart is missing without Rosaline's love, and he wishes for her to return the love. When asked to marry Paris she denied her father. If she had not loved Romeo she would have easily agreed seeing as she obeyed her father’s wishes before she met Romeo. “Hang thee, young baggage!
