Based on data, you are correct immigration numbers are decreasing. The reason for that decrease; I believe was the downturn in 2008. Actually a few years before 2008 but coming into reality at that time. Most immigrants come here for a better life, when there are no jobs why would you come here if that is the reason? To deal with the prejudice that comes with being an immigrant I do not believe that people are willing to suffer that for no reason.
I also believe that our commitment to reinforcing rules that are in existence with regards to immigration is another reason for this. More and more countries where these people are immigrating from are having a bit of “economic boom” if you will. So some opportunities at home also contributes to this reduction.

These numbers also indicate that you would not feel uncomfortable if you were one of the groups listed or another race. As there is no dominant group among them the ethnic groups that I spoke of are close to being evenly represented. I read stories of people indicating that they would love to move back to the area for the diversity once they have a family. I believe that this type of diversity makes America Beautiful. It gives you the opportunity to be who you are as well as learn about other cultures or races without intimidation. When a place is dominated by a particular group it makes others uncomfortable as well as makes it hard for the area to become diverse.
