What can a college degree be used in the outside world? A lot of undeveloped countries have lack of education, but college education is very expensive in America. Can a degree be worth it? Whether a college is worth it or not, there are similarities and differences between two articles, “What’s More Expensive Than College? Not Going To College” by Derek Thompson and “Is college worth it?” by Chicago. If people use their education degrees in the right way, they earn a lot of money in the future versus the ones that do not obtain a college degree. On the other hands, college is too expensive, and it is difficult to pay off that they prevent people from doing other things.
Both articles debate about the college education concern in our society. In the article “What’s more expensive than college? In the article “Is college worth it?”, the author wrote, “Student debt has grown so large that it stops many young people from buying house, starting businesses or having children.” Many colleges do not provide enough financial aid for students to continue their education. Based on the article by Lisa Goetz, other developed countries can provide free college education: examples include Germany, Sweden, France, Norway, and other countries.
