Maleficent, means “doing evil or harm” (Dictionary, Maleficent). The evil villain on Sleeping Beauty goes by Maleficent. This is yet another Walt Disney movie. A Disney movie with a little twist. We’ve all seen Sleeping Beauty, and princess Aurora who was cast a spell by the wicked witch and she said “Before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, and fall into a sleep like death! A sleep from which she will never awaken!”(IMDb, Maleficent). We all know witches are evil but nobody knows why they became evil, all we know is what the narrator tells us. One evening Stefan met up with Maleficent and as the night grew older they talked just like any other day till they became tired. Stefan had a wicked plan, as he noticed Maleficent was tired he gave her something to drink. Stefan gave Maleficent a poison drink that made her fall asleep instantly and not feel a thing. Moments later Stefan noticed Maleficent in a deep sleep, took out his sword and positioned himself for the perfect stab in her heart. Stefan stopped himself and in seconds he decided to take away something else to prove her death to the king. Stefan cut off her big beautiful wings and placed them on his cart far away from where they were laying. Moments later Maleficent wakes up in pain, realizing what a horrible thing Stefan has done to her. Maleficent screams with tears of pain. Stefan rides off on his way to the kingdom to present his defeat against Maleficent, later where the king honors him with the crown and his daughter.

As a result Maleficent shuts down her world to the humans, symbolizing she did not want anything to do with anyone. Maleficent felt broken and became cold, her trust was long gone. Everyone thought she was dead and defeated by king Stefan. Little did everybody know she was alive and furious.
