My Future Patient Analysis

There are different ways of supporting my future patients including informational, instrumental, appraisal and emotional. It is important to tailor the way I support each patient individually and depending on where my patient is at within the stages of change I may use one or all of these methods.
Working with the principle Docere-Naturopath as teacher, I look forward to being able to take the time to share with my patients information about causes of disease, the healing power of nature and how healing works, how the naturopathic approach differs from conventional medicine, especially in regards to avoiding the suppression of illness. This may include sharing the information verbally in session, information on my website through a patient portal or blog where they will have access to various articles that may be of assistance to them. For instance articles of digestive health, dealing with emotions, how to connect with the healing power of nature such as hydrotherapy and sunbathing. I see myself being able to empathize with my patients, for instance a patient may come to me who had a loved one die as a child. The strong emotions stored in the body of this patient may be the cause of a chronic disease. This patient may require me to listen and empathize with them so that they can discharge emotionally. The stored emotions may have been there for a long time and could potentially be their obstacle to cure. If ongoing emotional problems are evident meditation or other healing methods may be suggested to help balance the emotions. As a servant of nature it is important to trust the healing power of nature and be there as the patient requires for their healing to take
