How would you define a network? What is bandwidth? What is a NIC? List three types of media used for network connections.

A network is a group of computers connected they could be connect just to one another or they could be connected to the internet, while internet itself is essentially one big network. Bandwidth is the bit-rate information about how much data is being sent or received; the bandwidth is normally measured in Mbps or megabits per second. Bandwidth can measure a number of things from network traffic, data, and digital traffic. Bandwidth should not be confused with throughput, which is the amount of data not the speed. A NIC stands for a network interface card or controller, the NIC is an actual hardware card that is plugged into a motherboard (or my be integrated to the motherboard itself. The NIC’s function is exactly what it sounds like; it is the device that you would plug you Ethernet cable into to get on a network online. The NIC card sends and receives information between computers. The NIC card normally has a RJ45 port on that the cable plugs into the cable transferring the media in this case is know as the media. The media can come in several different verities it could be twisted pair cable being one of the slower end basic 56k connection type, then there would be
