Youtube was created In 2005 so users could upload, share and view videos. The site quickly gained popularity and was purchased by Google in 2006 for 1.65 billion dollars. As Youtube grew its impact became more significant. The platform allowed anyone to create content no matter your prior popularity. Content creators could find their audience and grow. Some of Youtube's competitors consist of; Vimeo, Daily Motion, and Wistia just to name a few. Youtube obviously isn't the only video sharing site but it was one of the first of its kind. What these other sites offer are different web features, like higher bit rates, different types of accounts for either business or personal use, the sale of your own personal video and detailed analytics. Activision is a video game publisher that recently released the game Call of Duty: WWII. The video game is a first-person shooter that lets you play as a real-life World War II soldier going through Europe completing missions. Video games are a huge part of video sharing content and live streams. What I would do is create a 30-second ad showcasing the action-packed gaming and its new features. I would want the ad to play before or during videos where the video game market constantly watches. I would then give the game out to video game content creators to play before the release date. Watching gameplay is huge on Youtube and the live streaming site Twitch. The game would build so much hype and word of mouth marketing that gamers would line up outside of stores to get it. Post-release of the game I would review the analytics of what demographics were a success in buying the game and make ad campaigns geared towards target markets that the game was less of a success with and promote it via social media
