I know music has been sometimes referred to as a universal language because even if you understand what the singer is saying in the song, understand the emotion and also make an educated guess based off of the sound of the beat and the singer voice. If the beat is soft and the singer sings quietly and slowly.

I believe that musical notation is important it allows artists to pick apart songs that may be popular or that they love and truly understand why it is popular or good. Tactics and elements used in a certain way may help new and the old composers really understand why or what songs are popular in the current year.
