Patrick Henry in colonial times was an orator and politician and in his Speech to the Virginia Convention, Henry’s role in society is to motivate and persuade the colonists to fight against Great Britain and earn their freedom. At the time of the speech, the colonies have been suffering under Britain’s cruel tyranny and mistreatment.
