The world of living with constant moving is the life that I grew up in. At a very young age, I moved to and lived in China and Taiwan and then in Utah, Nevada and California. My academic life was marked by transfer after transfer to different schools - four elementary, three middle, and two high schools. Each time it was hard to make new friends, but at the same time I developed great coping skills. And learned to appreciate social and cultural differences in various international as well as local settings. I realized that each community I lived in had its own unique personality. Both San Jose and Las Vegas, the two cities I lived in the longest, gave me many opportunities, but in their own special ways.
