When I reflect on my journey working toward my MSN, I have learned a tremendous amount regarding the role of a professional nurse. I rolled from my BSN to the MSN program, so I have been at this for the past five years. There have been many ups and downs, I broke my wrist twice in five years and resorted to one-handed typing for discussions and assignments, not an easy task! But there have also been many ah-ha moments. As a diploma nurse at the beginning of this journey, I knew little of nursing theory and the concept of a nurse as a knowledge worker.
