The purpose of this study is to determine if the implementation of a regular exercise intervention can slow down the disease progression as well as improve QOL in patients recently diagnosed with RRMS.

P = Population
(Who are the main group of people that you plan to study?)

The population will include 50 randomly selected people between the ages of 18-65, newly diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS).
-Participants will have a confirmed dx of RRMS, will be able to read/write in English, will have an EDSS score of less than 3.0, will be medically cleared to participate, and willing to participate for the duration of the study.

25 of the participants will receive an individually tailored exercise intervention that they will be expected to adhere to for the duration of the study.
60% of the 25 participants will be female and the other 40% male.

C = Comparison
(What will the “other” group get because they are NOT getting your intervention? OR if doing a non-intervention study, who are the people that you will compare your “main group” to?) The other 25 participants will receive standard care for MS that consists of symptom management therapy.
60% of the 25 participants will be female and the other 40% male.

O = Outcomes
(These are your dependent variables - What are the outcomes that you will measure AFTER you have implemented your intervention?) At 1,3, and 6 years participant’s QOL will be assessed as well as their expanded disability status scale score (EDSS).
