Respect Definition

The word respect has different meanings because people were raised differently therefore the word respect has is very broad and diverse. Having rules creates structure and well organized atmosphere. In a classroom respect should be proved by both the teacher and the students, however, there’s a different kind of respect that’s needed from a freshman classroom to a senior classroom. The real world requires different respect than the classroom, nonetheless respect is obliged regardless.

So the right way to approach that situation would be to kindly ask her why she felt the need to cut in me that line, if her grocery was more important than mine and if she’s in any kind of rush to get somewhere and that’s why she thought it’d be okay to cut me. Another food for a thought to consider when dealing with respect is that the person has to carry themselves with the kind of respect they expect others to bestow upon them. I believe that most people treat you with the respect that they see you cast upon yourself not that we should treat people the way we want to be treated because some people don’t care if they’re disrespected and they might not fully understand what they want for themselves so how can we hold them to the standards that we want for ourselves when they can’t treat themselves that way. If the teacher is discombobulated and not structured most students take that as a sign to do whatever they want, whenever they want. In order to establish respect in the classroom the teacher should set the standards for the students because at the end of the day no matter how old we may be we all still have room to grow and learn. Students will always follow the lead of the teacher, it they show that they respect themselves and they deserve rules then they will receive just that from the students. On the other hand, the teacher should establish boundaries and should the students respect in return. Most students will not compel to being barked at with commands and demands, they like to know that a teacher is also a human and the teacher should be consistent with their rules and form an ironclad fist when their rules are being challenged as most teenagers will attempt to do. If the students doesn’t follow up with the rules that have been implemented then the teacher has the right to deal with it accordingly. However, the consequences should involve a life lesson and a tough enough punishment so the student doesn’t do that behavior again.
