Should Kids Have Phones At Elementary School Age?

If you gave your child a phone, you probably wouldn’t know what they were doing

with it all the time. Children today between ages 4-18 have phones. There are a few

areas in which children should have phones, but there are probably ten times as many

reasons for children not to have phones. Children that have phones while they are still

in elementary school could easily be exposed to the bad things on the internet, and their

parents wouldn’t know how much of a distraction they are at school.

Next, children that have phones at the age of elementary school can easily be

exposed to pornography and other bad things on the internet. The article Should Kids

comfortable with them viewing pornography.” All children have the curiosity that can

take them to see bad things. If a child is tempted by their curiosity, they can easily be

taken to see bad things on the internet.

To continue with, when children go to school with their phones, their parents

won't know how much of a distraction they are to the children. The article Why Kids

all-important purpose of their lives right now, so why would I give them any device that

would make it harder than it already is to learn?” Children wouldn’t be able to take their

phones to school and not look at them. They are a big distraction to the student and the
