Growing up I would see or hear about many of my peers attending church and learning about their faith. I’ve been raised in a family where religion isn’t a crucial part of our culture, having not been to church a day in my life. Although I’m not religious, I am still eager to learn about religion in general, which will give me different perspectives in life, as well as, possibly developing a faith.
Part of Seattle Pacific University’s vision is to “Engage the Culture”, having attended one of the most diverse schools in the nation, Federal Way High School, I feel that I am equipped to bring that vision to reality. For example, I’ve played a major role in organizing an assembly at my school called “Celebrate Ourselves” over the past two years.
