Partaking in the Strive Program will enable me to be successful in my future pursuits in the medical field. The interaction with children and families provides the opportunity to make a positive impact on others’ lives. The great achievements derived from the program will allow me to attain a vast experience that will further catapult my career.

As a son, brother, student, and a member of society, I yearn to increase my knowledge base, not just as it pertains to science and medicine, but in many other facets as well. Innumerous life lessons abound, and this program, I am certain, can greatly assist in understanding and incorporating these lessons into a personal portfolio.

Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital takes pride in its family-centric care, connecting not only with the patient, but their extended families in order to make, an otherwise arduous and trying situation, most times, into one that will provide a positive experience, with respect and compassion. Being a small part of such a prestigious program, rich in tradition and a world renowned reputation, would be an honor, something I truly look forward to playing a role.

Coming from a family of sedulous and pious individuals, I believe, has resulted in a positive impact that deters procrastination and laziness, while encouraging meticulousness and perseverance.
