Super-bowl ads are always something most people look forward to, even if they do not like football. I personally love football and always look forward to the game as well as the ads. To me this year’s super-bowl ads were disappointing compared to previous years. There are only a slight few commercials I can remember from this year’s super-bowl, but I can remember several from years past. Anheuser-Busch was the top advertiser of super-bowl 50. Anheuser-Busch had ads for Budweiser, Bud Light, Shock Top, and Michelob Ultra making them the top advertiser of super-bowl 50. For a 30 second ad in super-bowl 50, it cost a company $5,000,000. With Anheuser-Busch being the top advertiser, that’s a lot of money to spend on advertising, but they always get good results from the advertisements. I wasn’t as impressed with super-bowl commercials this year. Although I didn’t necessarily dislike any of them, I didn’t love all of them. I was looking forward to a new commercial from Budweiser featuring the Clydesdale horses as well as the puppy. I was disappointed that Budweiser did not use the puppy this year. Puppy Monkey Baby from Mountain Dew featuring the Mountain Dew Kick Start was rather new and unexpected. The commercial caught my attention and kept me focused on it. The Puppy Monkey Baby was rather cute and an attention grabber. The Doritos commercials never disappoint. It was a rather creative idea this year with the Doritos ultrasound commercial. It was not something I had expected, but it goes to show how creative the company is. I liked that the commercial was creative and not basic.
