Would you let a robot drive you around? Google co-founder Sergey Brian says he sees driverless cars as the future. He envisions a public transport system where fleets of driver less cars from a taxi system. I think that driver less cars are a good idea because it can be aware of the situations around it, they help notify drivers of dangers and they make driving fun again. Yes some believe that driver less cars arent safe. However they can sometimes be more aware of the surroundings than you can be. When you can get distracted the car never takes it focus off of the road. They can take over driving functions at low speeds. "The car can handle driving functions at speeds up to 25 mph"(7). So if you ever have that little slip up when you arent paying attention they will be there for you. The car will never not be ready. People get bored when they are waiting for their turn to drive. People don't just want to sit and watch the road while other people are driving." we have to interpret the driving fun in a new way"(8). " Some manufactures hope to do it by bringing in car entertainment and information systems that use heads up display"(8). The entertainment systems are good expect for when your driving. You don't want lots of distractions. The lights they use could distract you from the road and potentially make you crash. But if you arent the one driving then it doesn't matter if there are flashy lights and sound entertainment systems. So when on a road trip you can sit back and relax while the car does the work.
