All though many people think that Veterans Day is a simple holiday off , it is a very important holiday. It is not just important to the Veterans , but to their families.

First I am going to be talking about the history of Veterans Day. You may already know that Veterans Day has been celebrated for a very long time. What you may not know is that during World War I Disney made a movies for each U.S. government branch. You also may not know is the word veteran comes from the English language; it means “old experienced soldier”. In 1954 president Eisenhower officially changed the name Armistice Day to Veterans Day.
