Many schools Offer a large variety of activities, classes, and clubs that numerous amounts students can enjoy. At my school, French, SCA, Spanish, and Chess are offered as clubs. There are also sports like track and field and basketball. We also have art, band, and drama offered as classes that students may choose to join. Out of the many activities at my school, art is a great class for students to engage in. Art is a great choice because it allows students to learn about their culture and their community. For example, art educators can teach students about European culture by having them make European inspired art. An example of an activity that was enjoyable, and taught about culture is recreating Starry Night By Vincent Van Gogh. When we were recreating Starry Night we learned about Dutch culture throughout the process. We were informed about Dutch art, tradition, and topography. …show more content…
For instance, many studies prove that art can change a person's perspective on things just by having them understand the deeper meaning behind them. Art classes will help develop a student's creativity through their own way of expression. The creativity and imagination of students will be pushed through the development of art. For example during this year my art teacher had us make an animal collage out of scrap paper. During this project, we used our creativity to express our personality using scraps. For instance a classmate of mine created a flamingo with bursts of orange, blue, purple, and etc. This art project was made to be enjoyable and educational. It taught students that they are able to make things out of the ordinary and
