Have you ever came home from school, threw your things on the floor and jumped on your couch preparing to watch your all time favorite TV show. Then realized you had a boat load of homework that is due for the next day? Well, I've been through this situation on various occasions and I can honestly say that too much homework aggravates me. It makes me feel as if my blood is going to boil to the point where I could explode. I wish I was back in grade 6 where I could be free to do whatever I want. I still recall the good old days when I could come home from school and not stress about a thing because I had no homework to do. We are obligated to go to school for 10 months a year with only 2 days off every week and occasionally a P.A day here and there. The 2 days we get off we believe we can occupy that time hanging out with friends, going to the mall, watching a movie etc. Well, that's false, those 2 days off are occupied by doing homework or studying for tests because we desire a good education and a bright future. First of all, if you receive time in class to complete your homework, you should take that opportunity to complete it so you don't have to strain yourself when you get home. Secondly, If you have homework that does not necessarily need to be done for the next day you can focus on the homework that you do need to do for the following day. Lastly, If you have an enormous amount of homework that’s required to be finished for the previous day, but you have an after school activity like me, we can either go to that activity, and leave earlier; or do some of our homework prior to our activity.
