Do you know what the greatest Mayan achievement is? Well my guess is their was of math. I say this because they needed math to use their calendar, but they also had to use math for sacrificing, at the same time the only people who knew how to do math is the priests and gods. So do you think math is important? My next reason why I think math is their greatest achievement is, they needed it to survive. I say this because if their food was running low they would have to calculate and change the amount of food each family gets. Also if they were going into drought again they would have to see how much food each family gets. Again going back to time they have to know and see how much a year would be. The Maya would also have to know how much time in a day there waa from sunrise to sunset and that’s how they got their day system.That is only another in a million reasons why math is a great achievement. The way the Maya was impacted by math was going to the priest and gods and sacrifices. The priest because they were the only ones who knew how to do math and how it worked. Well what happened to everyone else? They were only taught to learn to survive and the laws. So they also got taught how to not get killed.
