Even though tattoos are effecting where a person can get a job, tattoos should not be discriminated in the workplace because employers cannot judge a person based on looks. There are many people in today’s society being declined jobs or even laid off because of body art. When people were younger, they were all taught the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” which follows the same concept as not judging a person by his or her outside appearance. However, this is occurring and people are being judged by what they look like. In the past, tattoos were always stereotyped in a negative way. Some say tattoos are cheap, nasty looking, and found on criminals or gang members. However, in our current generation, this is no longer the case. People get tattoos for all sorts of reasons.
