After our nation’s intrusion into world war one, our president drafted a peace treaty containing 14 points and lettered German skies with pamphlets containing these 14 principles promising the German's forgiveness for starting the war and the start of a new group called the League of Nations to start world peace. Despite our president's wishes Germany was forced to pay reparations to the other world leaders and the question of whether America would join the League of Nations was never put passed the Senate. After the interception of the Zimmerman note and becoming a victim of unrestricted submarine warfare brought on by Germany, America was forced into entering the fray called world war one. With thousands of troops perishing to the new bloody style of warfare (trench warfare) and succumbing to sickness on the front lines, our nation’s president Woodrow Wilson drafted a peace plan containing 14 points later called the Treaty of Versailles hoping to assuage the carcinogenic war.
